Could it be pain?

Horses have individual pain behaviour. Long term pain might be hard to recognize and locate. This website and it’s tools have been developed to help you with it.

Pain Expression Tool

The pain meter is a free program that you can use to assess your horse’s pain.

The benefit of a pain meter is that it accurately detects the different signs of pain. If a horse has a single sign, such as a worry line in the corner of the eye, this alone does not indicate pain. If there are more signs, pain is more likely. With this program, you can look at each point carefully and the program will calculate the final score for you.

Remember, however, that the mere appearance of pain does not tell you very much. However, if you do find that your horse has a clear pain signal, then you should definitely investigate the possibility of pain further.

However, not all sick horses have the appearance of pain, so the lack of it does not eliminate the possibility of pain. You can always get a more accurate result by using the 270 question Equine Pain Finder.

Answer the pain meter questionnaire and get an immediate indicative analysis. The Pain Meter is free to use by registering. After the registration, After the registration, you can access pain expressions tool here
