Scope of application
These terms and conditions apply to the services provided online to the customer by Koulutus- ja kuntoutuskeskus Hevostaito Oy (business ID 3289901-4). We sell online services to adult individuals and companies in Finland and abroad.
Service description
Mervi Pakola Horse Academy offers training services as well as online courses. Online courses are available online in a WordPress-based educational environment.
Ordering and prices
Participation in online courses is done by registering and ordering the product in question through the Horse Pain online store. Ordering requires the provision of personal data and a valid e-mail address when placing the order. To use the services, the customer must have access to the Internet and a computer or mobile device with Internet access. The online course ordered is available to the customer for the period specified in the order. The monthly fee product will remain available until the customer cancels the subscription.
Prices are charged in the online store according to the price list at the time of ordering. Prices include VAT (24%). Delivery costs are not added to the prices. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery terms.
All orders will be confirmed by email. The order confirmation sent to the customer will serve as proof of payment and no other proof will be sent. A valid order can also be viewed in the customer’s personal information on the Horse Pain website.
The customer agrees to the delivery terms valid for each order.
User accounts are personal and may not be shared with others. Selling or transferring online courses is not permitted and may result in the closure of the user account.
Cancelling the order
The customer will have access to the online course immediately after payment. This means that, with the customer’s consent, delivery of the service to the customer has begun electronically before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period for distance selling. Therefore, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to online courses purchased from the Horse Pain online shop.
Problems using the service
In the event of technical or other problems with the use of the Horse Pain online shop or online courses, the customer should contact the company immediately, either by e-mail or telephone. Contact details can be found at the bottom of the website and on the “Contact” page.
Payment
Products are paid for when ordering. We have a secure Paytrail payment service. Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Payment methods
You can use the payment buttons of all Finnish banks, ie you can pay with the payment buttons of Nordea, Osuuspankki, Säästöpankki, POP Bank, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, S-bank and the Bank of Åland. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant.
You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have enabled online payments in the app settings. Payments made with the MobilePay wallet are charged to the payment card linked to the wallet. If the charge to the payment card fails, it will not be possible to pay with MobilePay in the online store.

Jousto invoice and installment payment is a finnish service that allows you to make purchases quickly and safely. Jousto is intended for private individuals who have managed their finances responsibly. With Jousto, you get 30 days of interest-free and cost-free payment time. After receiving the invoice, you can decide whether to pay it in full or in installments. With the installment option, you can pay for your purchase in up to 36 installments, starting at EUR 9.90/month. The cost of Jousto installment payments is EUR 3.90/month plus 19.90% interest. Limitation of Liability
Mervi Pakola Horse Academy is not responsible for delays or damages caused by force majeure. Hevostaito Akatemia shall not be liable for any damages resulting from any errors in products, services or digital content. Mervi Pakola Horse Academy shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use of the products or services. Mervi Pakola Horse Academy shall not be liable for any consequential damages. When training with the horse itself, keep in mind that you are fully responsible for the horse as well as for your own safety. We recommend doing the exercises together with someone else and in closed space. If you are unsure about the suitability of an online course for your skill level, consult your riding instructor or contact here.
Intellectual property rights
Mervi Pakola Horse Academy owns all rights to videos, written material, images and texts on the pages. These rights do not pass to other parties e.g. purchasing an online course.
Information on dispute resolution bodies
If the dispute concerning the trade agreement cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi).
Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must contact the Consumer Advice of the Local Register Office (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).
